Mrs Paige O’Rourke

Personal message: As educational leaders, we are in the unique position to nurture and guide children’s future growth. We work in an ever-changing and evolving learning environment while implementing the latest teaching pedagogies founded on good research. As educators we aim to provide meaningful learning experiences which are rich with opportunities for every learner and endeavour to ignite a passion and love of learning within all the children in our care.

Statement of areas of responsibility: As a Coordinator Paige is responsible for the religious and educational leadership of the school. She is also responsible for the overall direction in order to provide for the effective care and education of the students. This is carried out through facilitation of their spiritual, social, academic and personal development within resource and funding constraints.

A curriculum coordinator provides ongoing support and feedback to staff, exercises leadership by working with staff to implement performance and development processes.

Professional experience: Paige has been an educator at St John Bosco, Engadine for 6 years. During this time she was part of the leadership team and was appointed as the Numeracy Coordinator. Paige enjoyed teaching a variety of grades, both in infants and primary.

In 2016, Paige had the opportunity to develop her faith through travelling to the Holy Land on a Sydney Catholic Schools Pilgrimage while attending World Youth Day, Poland.  

In 2014, Paige had the privilege to attend the International Conference in Reggio Emilia, Italy. Here she was immersed in the authentic learning practices of the Early Years Framework.

Qualifications:

Masters of Religious Education- Australian Catholic University

Bachelor of Primary Education (Major in Religious Education) – University of Notre Dame

Professional interests: Developing and fostering Collaborative Teacher Efficacy, Pedagogical Causality and reflective pedagogy. I am passionate about developing curious and creative thinkers and doers.
